Today we are celebrating World Entrepreneur Day.

For us, this day is important to shine a light on the day-to-day hard work that all the founders, hustlers, managers, contractors, innovators put into building and growing their businesses.

It’s easy to get caught up in the grind of hard days and long nights, so remember to take this time to pause, recharge and examine where you are, where you have come from and where you are yet to be.

We asked some of Australia’s shining entrepreneurs for their words of advice and encouragement to celebrate this day.

Jules Lund – Founder of Tribe

“How you cut through noise is super simple, it’s exactly how everyone has ever created a following in every known way shape or form in terms of a medium, and that is, give more than you get.”

Jack Delosa –  Founder & CEO of The Entourage

“As entrepreneurs, our biggest strength is that we love to pursue opportunities, however, our biggest weakness is also that we love to pursue opportunities. Truly great entrepreneurs understand the art of focus. They pick one idea, execute and try and become the best in the world at it. If you try and become everything to everybody, ultimately you will become nothing to nobody.”

Brad Cameron – Founder of Build Your Empire

“Finding proof of concept is the best place to start.”

Taryn Williams – Founder of Wink Models &

“Fear is a terrible reason to make any sort of decision.”

Justin Dry – Co-founder of Vinomofo

“Get your product and customer service right, and then everything else will follow.”

Peter Davison – Seed investor in Paypal

“You are the change agent who brings the people along that you need to help make the change happen.”

Daniel Flynn – Co-founder of Thankyou

“To get a result that no one has gotten before, you’ve got to be prepared to do what no one has done before.”

Lorraine Murphy – Founder of The Remarkables Group

“What’s going to stretch you? What’s going to scare you? What’s going to push you out of your comfort zone? Because life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”

Stacey Jacobs – Founder of TidyMe

“If you are looking for ideas, look to international markets. We are in a really fortunate position in Australia where we can look to international markets because we are often a little behind them.”

Osher Gunsberg – Media Personality

“No one’s going to pay you to solve a problem that they can solve themselves.”
